Voici un sculpteur japonais de têtes de bunraku. Leurs visages ont la propriété d'exprimer des humeurs très différentes grâce à l'action des leviers et des cordons par le joueur. La vidéo montre l'un des rares artistes restants à pouvoir faire de telles têtes, à savoir Joichiro Amari.
Amari Yôichirô est l’un des derniers maîtres-artisans spécialisés dans la fabrication des têtes (kashira) de marionnettes pour le théâtre japonais, qu’il s’agisse du Awa ningyô jôruri de l’île de Shikoku ou du bunraku d’Osaka.

"Each bee is around 20mm long with a brass chassis to support the individual mechanism, the final coat is fine hair of flock (flock and bee in same sentence?), total height to top of glass 13 inches. The hive mechanism has three parts starting from the handle there is the drive the cams for the waggle and flower bee, A bee performs the waggle dance when he wants to inform other bees of a nectar source, rather than a random wing action my waggle bee is signalling in Morse code the word ‘buzz’. The center gear section provides the up/down action for the aviator and also the wing movement (tiny rack and pinion in the bee, via a 1mm steel tube). Final section the bellows drive powers two tyvek bellows each with dual action reeds. The ‘Dog viola’ is made from beaten copper which provides a solid base for that bee" Mike Tailor
